Part of Lee Abbey Devon

The Beacon Activity Centre is part of Lee Abbey Devon and the wider Lee Abbey Movement, which includes Lee Abbey London, Lee Abbey Small Missional Communities and Lee Abbey Friends.

Our shared vision is people encountering Jesus Christ so that lives, relationships, communities and our environment are transformed by the life of God.

Our mission is to facilitate this by welcoming people to stay in the house, Beacon activity centre and camps served by a Christian community.

Our values are Encounter, Community, Hospitality and Simplicity.

Our Beacon vision is to ‘Discover more about yourself, each other and God’.

Lee Abbey Devon is made up of a community of Christians from many nations around the world, who encourage each other to put Christ at the centre and to live out the gospel. Being part of Community is about living, working, serving and worshipping closely together, being open to being known for who we are. Those who join Community come to serve who have either a specific responsibility or work on a team (such as Kitchen, Bookings, House, Estate, Youth and Children’s/Beacon). As one of the first “New Monastic Communities” we live together under the Lee Abbey Rule of Life, which is a guideline to help us, not a set of rules to restrict us, underpinned by our vision and values.
